My name is Dan Wolgamott. I’m a husband, dad, football coach, and State Representative with a proven ability to deliver results and win tough races.
I’m running for State Auditor to fight fraud and restore trust in Minnesota’s stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
We are facing a unique and important moment in Minnesota right now, as we endure relentless Federal overreach targeting our immigrant neighbors and peaceful observers. Please know that my wife, Erika, and I are horrified by what’s happening, and I’m working diligently at the State Capitol to get ICE out of Minnesota. The current situation rises above politics as usual and demands action from all of us to protect Minnesotans’ constitutional rights and basic safety.

DFL Chair, House Higher Education Committee
Represented St. Cloud, a swing district, for 8 years in the Minnesota House of Representatives
Have worked with cities, counties, and townships on more than 40 pieces of legislation regarding their local finances and operations
Led successful efforts to strengthen pensions for both teachers and first responders
Helped to pass successful progressive legislation during the 2023-24 DFL trifecta including Paid Family & Medical Leave, Earned Sick & Safe Time, Criminal Background Checks on All Gun Sales, Abortion Access Protections, Cannabis legalization, Efforts to reduce the cost of prescription drugs and expand affordable health care access, and more!
TACKLING FRAUD
Minnesotans need an elected watchdog ensuring the accountability, transparency, and integrity of programs paid for with their tax funds. That’s why I have a plan to:
Expand the Auditor’s authority to audit state agencies and programs
Ensure integrity and compliance
Prevent fraud before it starts
Grant the State Auditor the authority to investigate fraud, issue subpoenas, and refer cases for prosecution.
Launch an anonymous tip line so Minnesotans can report suspicions of fraud directly.
TEAM PLAYER WHO KNOWS HOW TO WIN
In 2022, the State Auditor election was decided by 10,000 votes statewide, or .3%. If a Republican wins, they will weaponize the auditor’s office and turn it into a Minnesota version of DOGE. We need a battle-tested DFLer who knows how to win tough elections and who can keep the chaos of D.C. politics out of our state.
